Disconnected Hair for Men – Short at the Sides & Long on Top

One of the top trends for men’s hair in 2015 has been the disconnected hair cut where the hair is cut short or shaved at the sides and left long on the top.  It can then be worn in a quiff, slicked straight back, to one side or just left long and floppy.

Fades and Undercuts for Men

A big trend for 2015 is to have your hair shaved at the sides.  There are two popular versions of this:  the fade and the undercut.  In the undercut, the sides and back of the hair are either completely shaved or clippered to the same length all the way round.  With the fade, the hair gradually fades from longer down to shorter.

On-Trend Preppy Hairstyles for Men

Preppy hairstyles can look great and really add to your sense of style, particularly if you favour the buttoned-up polo shirt/shirt and carrot jeans look. Ask for a parting and for your hair to be cut into a fade with longer hair on top. The hair can be as long or as short as you like on top – depending on how versatile you want your style to be.

Texturised Hair Cuts for Gents

Most men who visit our studios or barbers are interested in a look that can appear well groomed during the day for work, and can then be a bit ‘messed up’ for a fun evening out.  By adding layers and texture to your hair you can have the best of both worlds.  Just add some hair wax, gel or pomade to your hair and mess it up a little and you’re ready to party into the night!

Long Hairstyles for Men

Long hair can look great on gents – whether it is long all over or simply a longer fringe – but make sure your hair is given a regular trim every six weeks or so and that you add a little conditioner when you wash it.  If your hair is curly, ask your stylist to add some layers to make it more manageable.  Don’t worry, we’ll make sure it still looks masculine!
